Sprinkler Valve and Leak Repair in Reno

Water that keeps running, a wet valve box, or a suddenly weak zone needs a closer look.

Sprinkler Master Repair Reno handles irrigation valve and line repairs. Describe when the problem appears and which zone is affected. A wet patch alone does not identify the failed component.

Call (775) 387-0519 to discuss the problem and confirm availability and any service-call charge.

Water will not shut off

If you know the dedicated irrigation shutoff and can reach it safely, shut off the irrigation supply. Turning the controller off may not stop water passing through a faulty valve. Leave electrical connections and pressurized equipment closed.

A valve may need cleaning, an internal repair, or replacement, depending on its condition and parts availability. The control signal also needs checking when the valve response is unclear.

A leak while the system runs

Note whether water appears only with a particular zone, where it first surfaces, and whether nearby heads lose spray. A pipe, fitting, valve, or head connection may be involved. Water can travel underground before it becomes visible.

Testing helps narrow down the fault. Buried lines, roots, depth, and hardscape affect access and the repair scope. Avoid digging around utilities or opening a live valve assembly.

Drainage or a leaking valve?

Brief water drainage from the lowest head can happen as a zone’s piping empties. Persistent flow is a different symptom. Hunter’s explanation of drainage and leaking valves explains why replacing the head may leave a valve problem unresolved.

Prepare for the visit

Have the zone number, controller model, photos, and access information ready if you can. Confirm diagnostic or service-call charges and discuss the repair scope before arranging work.

For a station that will not activate, also see controller repair. For the wider system, see all sprinkler services, sprinkler FAQs, and the Service Areas hub.
